We talk to the owner and founder of Lon Retreat and Spa Claire Gemes to hear about why the team at Lon choose to serve Adelia to their guests. Lon is a farm and former family home transformed into luxurious coastal escape. Perched on 250 acres of rural and conservation land in Point Lonsdale on Victoria’s Bellarine Peninsula. It features an award winning Day Spa and 7 luxury suites - one of the few 5 star stays on the Bellarine and Surf Coast.
Thanks for joining us Claire, food is such an important part of someone's travel experience why do you choose to serve Adelia Granola to your guests?
Here at Lon we believe that not only food, but connection to community and the source of where that food comes from (it's heart!) all contributes to a unique and memorable travel experience. When we launched Lon Retreat, we sought out local suppliers like Adelia who aligned with our purpose of providing locally made, handcrafted and nourishing breakfasts to our guests.
Tell us about the special "Breakfast at Lon" flavour of Granola and how it is unique to your hotel?
Our farm sourced breakfast trays needed something special to match with the incredible produce that comes from our farm like our figs or berries. We collaborated with Adam and Amelia at Adelia to curate our very own 'Breakfast at Lon' branded granola with cranberry, macadamia and wattleseed. This carefully blended granola mix is included on our breakfast trays and also available for guests to purchase and take home from our Little Shop of Lon. It is often matched with farm grown berries or figs, edible flowers, Schultz organic milk and yoghurt, our farm honey and homemade berry compote.
What are your top Bellarine Spots for coffee, lunch , dinner and relaxing?
