Giving Back to Our Community: Welcoming Local Students Behind the Scenes at Adelia Fine Foods

At Adelia Fine Foods, supporting our local community isn’t just something we talk about — it’s something we live and breathe every day. One of the most rewarding ways we put this into action is by opening our doors to local school students, offering them a behind-the-scenes look at our business and sharing our passion for hand-crafted food.

These student visits are a small but powerful part of how we give back. Each visit includes a guided tour of our workplace, where students get to see how our artisan products are made — from mixing and baking to packaging and labelling. It’s a chance to witness first-hand the care, quality, and creativity that goes into every batch.

Following the tour, students are invited to a Q&A session with our business owners. We love hearing their questions — some thoughtful, some curious, and some that really make us think! It’s always inspiring to see their interest in food production, entrepreneurship, and the local economy. Whether they're dreaming of becoming chefs, designers, or small business owners themselves, we hope our story helps spark their imagination and ambition.

These visits are more than just an educational experience — they’re a reminder of why we do what we do. Investing in the next generation and staying connected to our local schools keeps us grounded and inspired. We're proud to be part of a community that values learning, sharing, and supporting one another.

We look forward to continuing these visits and welcoming more students into our space.

Review from one of the St Ignatius students from the June 2025 Visit

The experience for me was great. I got to learn about businesses from an insiders perspective and get more personal with the challenges and achievements Adam and Amelia's experience, both when starting up the business and their current situation. I'm so glad I got the chance to have a look at what they do.
