There’s something quietly powerful about preparing your meals ahead of a busy week. For us, Sunday meal prep isn’t just about saving time — it’s a small act of care. A reset button. A way to reduce decision fatigue and start the week feeling a little more grounded.
Why Meal Prepping Works:
We get it — life gets busy. Between work, family, and everything else, healthy eating can easily fall to the bottom of the list. That’s where a little prep goes a long way.
Here’s why we love it:
- It takes the pressure off your weekdays. With breakfast already done, you get one easy win first thing in the morning.
- It reduces food waste. Planning ahead means using what you have and shopping more intentionally.
- It supports better eating habits. When something nourishing is ready and waiting, you're less likely to reach for a quick fix that doesn't align with your needs.
- It saves money. Fewer impulse buys. Less takeaway. More value from your grocery shop.
Building the Habit (Without the Overwhelm):
You don’t need to prep every meal or become a Pinterest-level organiser. Start small:
- Pick one meal to prep for (we recommend breakfast!)
- Choose 2–3 easy, versatile recipes to rotate
- Keep ingredients on hand that work across multiple meals (like our Seed & Nut Muesli)
- Give yourself a set time each Sunday — even 30 minutes is enough to get started
Our Favourite Make-Ahead Breakfast: Chocolate PB Overnight Oats
This one’s become a weekly go-to. It’s protein-packed, naturally sweetened, and takes 2 minutes to throw together.
You’ll Need:
- ½ cup Adelia Seed & Nut Muesli
- 1 tbsp chocolate protein powder
- 1 tsp peanut butter
- 1 tsp dark chocolate (chopped or chips)
- ½ cup milk or plant-based milk
- Optional: 1 tsp hemp seeds for extra protein
Method:
- Decide how many bowls you will prep for an multiply the ingredients above
- Mix all ingredients in a jar or bowl (or weight the above individually into bowls).
- Stir well and refrigerate overnight.
- In the morning, enjoy cold or warmed slightly — or top with fresh berries or banana slices.
Start your week with something delicious, simple, and ready. You’ve earned it.
